Ben Hoiness
FOUNDER
Ben grew up in Billings, Montana, and eventually found himself in Red Lodge, physically and emotionally unable to stay away from the Treasure State. As a semi-retired ski and climbing guide, he is perpetually planning his next day in the hills and he truly believes YOU can do anything (seriously, ask his wife). Fueled by curiosity, Ben is a tinkerer and maker-of-things, always aiming to improve upon what exists. He is both creative and technically skilled and brings an artist’s eye to a functional piece. He has built out three different camper vans, lived in one, and believes he has the secret recipe for the perfect build.

AKA Jimmy Beams / FOUNDER
James grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, and because of that he will immediately make friends with you and offer to bring you a jar of his mom’s homemade spicy pickles. An army veteran deployed to Afghanistan and teacher of young minds at both the high schools in Roberts and Red Lodge, James has lived a life of service. Tendaro is an extension of that, but with an element of creativity and freedom new to him. James built and lived in a tiny house until upgrading to a log home beneath the mountains, which he is currently renovating. He is familiar with the connections we have to our homes and passionate about creating timeless and personalized spaces.
